Campaign videos are a powerful way to raise awareness of an issue, to elicit an action or change in behaviour, to overturn misconceptions, to educate, or even to appeal to funders.
Traditionally, campaign videos have been associated with charities, NGOs and Government agencies looking to build awareness of an issue, or a change in behaviour. However, that does not mean that they can’t be used by everyday businesses too.

So what about businesses? How can they use campaign videos too? Well the basics of a campaign video remain the same- you present the problem and communicate the solution.
Think of it like this. Many product or services act to solve a problem. But what if your potential customers or clients don’t understand what the issue is exactly, or how they can solve it? This is where a campaign video comes in.
Here’s an example: You sell really good quality mattresses and offer a service that matches people’s backs to the right mattress. There are lots of people out there with bad backs, but who don’t realise the right mattress could make the difference. So you produce a campaign video that explains how a bad back may be caused by the wrong mattress, and that you can find the right mattress and solve your customers’ problem.
By identifying a problem and attaching your brand to the awareness of this, consumers look to you for the solution. Or if you offer a bespoke service, your customer might simply need more education about what you offer.
